The Acrylic Traffic Safety Mirror has a strong pole bracket system, designed to withstand tough environmental conditions, such as extreme weather, exposed areas and heavy machinery.

The mirror face is made from 3mm thick acrylic and will not bend and distort like other cheap traffic mirrors.

The unique curved design allows a driver to observe high-speed traffic much more effectively at a safer distance.

This traffic convex mirror can be positioned anywhere a driver's view of the road is impaired by buildings, trees, fences and bends in the road.

Ideal for concealed entrances or exits, blind corners on roads, highways and hard to see intersections.

The extra durable galvanised steel clamp bracket is designed for fixing to a 75mm pole (pole not included).

Attach these outdoor traffic mirrors to a flat surface with the optional Wall Mount Adaptor, available for purchase.

Should I use Stainless Steel or Acrylic?

This comes down to a number of factors. Both types will give similar visual results, so it depends on the environment the mirror will be placed in.

The stainless steel mirrors are the most expensive but are also unbreakable and will withstand physical attack best.

They are also excellent for harsh industrial environments.

The acrylic version has the same frame but the mirror will not withstand physical abuse.

If the mirror is to be placed in a low-risk area (e.g. private property, safe area) then choose the acrylic version.

Consider though that if the mirror is broken, the replacement costs (plus the original cost) will
outweigh any saving over the cost of the stainless steel version!

What size mirror should I use?

For outdoor applications, the mirror needs to be larger than for indoor applications but as a general rule, the combined distance between the mirror and the observer and the distance between the mirror and the object to be viewed will determine the correct size mirror.

Always choose a slightly larger rather than a smaller mirror.

If the mirror is too small then the image it produces will be of little value but if the mirror is slightly larger than required, you only get more and an enhanced view!

  • Combined distance up to 38 metres Use 600mm mirror
  • Combined distance up to 50 metres Use 800mm mirror
  • Combined distance over 50 metres Use 1000m mirror

For roads where the mirror is on the same side as the observer, use 600mm size or if the opposite side an 800mm or 1000mm is recommended. Laneways and driveways are typically 600mm.
